Mom's Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving go hand in hand. This recipe you'll use year after year.   Make it yours!  It's classic, tried and true, and of course, delicious!

Pumpkin pie


  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

**Hint** You can substitute 1 3/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon, ginger, and cloves

  1. Mix sugar, salt, and spices in a small bowl.
    Beat eggs in a large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and spice/sugar mixture. Gradually add evaporated milk.
  2. Pour into unbaked pie shell
  3. Bake in a preheated 425 oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temp to 350, bake 40-50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours
  4. Enjoy!
