Mom's Pumpkin Pie Recipe
Pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving go hand in hand. This recipe you'll use year after year. Make it yours! It's classic, tried and true, and of course, delicious!
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
**Hint** You can substitute 1 3/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon, ginger, and cloves
- Mix sugar, salt, and spices in a small bowl.
Beat eggs in a large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and spice/sugar mixture. Gradually add evaporated milk.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell
- Bake in a preheated 425 oven for 15 minutes. Reduce
temp to 350, bake 40-50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes
out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours
