Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

Ingredients for Macaroni and Cheese Casserole:

  • 1 cup uncooked macaroni
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/8 tsp paprika
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg


Cook macaroni as directed, drain.

Place layers of cooked macaroni in buttered baking dish, sprinkling each layer with the shredded cheese. Save 1/8 cup of cheese for the topping.

In a small bowl, beat egg, milk, salt and paprika until well blended. Pour this mixture over the macaroni and cheese.

Sprinkle the top with bread crumbs and remaining cheese. Bake at 400 until browned and bubbly on top.
