Kentucky Hot Brown Bake

with Crescent Rolls

What a wonderful combination of flavors this Kentucky Hot Brown Bake is!

It's my understanding that the original recipe was made with toasted bread and smothered in a cheesy sauce.  Someone along the way, decided that crescent rolls would be a nice replacement for the bread.  My friends, it is.  I added a drizzle of honey mustard dressing over the top of the turkey layer.


  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 16 oz shaved smoked turkey
  • 1 12 oz package of bacon, cooked
  • 1/2 lb swiss cheese, sliced
  • 4 roma tomatoes, thin sliced
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • honey mustard dressing


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Unroll the first can of crescent rolls and press it into a 9X11 casserole dish.

Layer with half of the turkey, bacon, cheese, tomatoes. 

Pour half of the eggs over the top.

Repeat turkey, bacon, cheese, tomatoes.

Press together the second roll of crescent dough and place it on top.

Pour remaining eggs on top.

Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.  Remove foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes or until brown.

Let sit for 20 minutes before cutting into squares.

We really enjoyed the flavors on this.  The possibilities are endless.  Ham/cheddar, roast beef/provolone.  Yum!
