Chicken Pie

Try this Chicken Pie for an easy dinner tonight.


  • 1 chicken or 4 breasts
  • 1 box Pillsbury (2, prepared) pie crust
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can peas and carrots, drained (optional)


Boil and then de-bone 1 chicken or breasts. Season water with garlic powder, salt and pepper, etc.

Unroll 1 pie crust into a deep dish pie pan.

Top with chopped chicken. Make a sauce of 1 chopped onion, 1 cup sour cream, 1 stick margarine, and 1 can mushroom soup. Pour over chicken.

Note: Can add 1 can of mixed peas and carrots (drained) on top ofchicken, before adding sauce.

Top with second Pillsbury crust. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.  Cut slits in the top pie crust to vent.  (Or use a cookie cutter to cut a shape in the crust before putting it on top, then replace the shape)  Press the top of the crust with the bottom crust around the edges.
