Beef Tips Recipe

You know the kind of meal that's easy to make, the whole family loves, but it's just not that pretty?  This beef tips recipe is just that.

Serves 5-6

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 2.5 hours


  • 2 lbs of stew meat or beef that you can cut into cubes
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 4 oz can of sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 envelope of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 envelope of brown (or mushroom) gravy
  • 1 cup water
  • Rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Place meat in the bottom of a 9X13 pan. 

In a bowl, combine mushroom soup, mushrooms, onion soup mix, gravy mix, and water.  Mix together and dump over the top of the meat.

Cover the pan tightly with foil and place in the oven.  Cook for 2.5 hours.

Before it's finished, make rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.

Serve a generous portion of meat over the top, and be sure to scoop out some of the extra gravy that's in the pan.  That's it.  Easy peasy and so delicious! 

Keep side dishes simple - such as a salad or steamed veggies and brown and serve rolls.
