Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole

Oh my wow, wow, wow!  This bacon cheeseburger casserole may not look pretty, but it was the bomb.  Every single member of my family from my 1 year old, 5 year old, 9 year old, all the way to my husband LOVED this.

Serves 10


  • 2 pounds of ground meat
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 32 oz package frozen tater tots
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2/3 cups of Real Bacon Pieces


Cook ground meat with diced onion.  Drain excess grease.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a very large bowl, combine sour cream, cheddar soup, shredded cheese and bacon pieces.  Stir in meat, then frozen tater tots.  I told you to use a very large bowl, didn't I? 

Prepare a 9X13 casserole dish with non stick spray or butter.

Dump contents of bowl into the casserole dish and cook uncovered for 40-45 minutes until hot and bubbly.

I added some diced tomato to ours.  I would have added some chopped green onions, too, but I didn't have any.  It was delicious anyway!

This bacon cheeseburger casserole could easily be split into two 8X8 pans.  Freeze one for later!  Adjust cooking time accordingly.
