Bacon Corn Chowder

This bacon corn chowder recipe is the perfect combination of comfort food and easy to make soup.

  • 6 bacon strips, diced
  • 3/4 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cup potatoes (uncooked), diced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can cream-style corn
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour


  1. In a saucepan, cook the bacon, celery, and onion over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until the bacon is cooked.
  2. Add the potatoes and water.
  3. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Stir in corn, milk, flour, seasoned salt, salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
  5. Heat until just before boiling over low until all of the soup is warm.

Enjoy! I served mine with jalapeno mexican cornbread, and it was very nice. My 1 year old is a rather picky eater, and yet he loved this.
