Zesty Italian Chicken

by Terri Jo
(Henderson, Ky)

Photo by Tiffany. Note I did mine in the crock pot, but the oven would be quicker.

Ingredients:

  • whole chicken or chicken pieces

  • Large bottle of Zesty Italian

You can use either whole chicken or cut up chicken. I place the chicken in a baking dish then take an entire bottle (large bottle) of that Zesty Italian Dressing and poor over the chicken. Either let it set overnight, for one hour in the fridge or put immediately into the oven. Although sitting overnight seems to give better flavor. Anyhow, just bake the chicken at 375 for about an hour or until done. Absolutely delicious.

can freeze
by: Jenni

I try to prep mine before I store it. Use a large ziploc freezer bag. Fill will chicken breasts (poke holes in each breast), then fill with Italian dressing (maybe 1/2 bottle). Put it straight into the freezer like that. When it is time to use it, you can pull it out, and it will marinate while it is thawing. No mess and ready to go when you need it.

Making this tonight
by: ibt222

These are the recipes that a single person like me loves to see. Simple to the point without much to buy. I have heard of marinating a steak like this and grilling it on the BBQ pit but it never dawned on me to use it on chicken in the oven. Thanks for the suggestion :0).
