Sopapilla Cream Cheese Dessert

This Sopapilla Cream Cheese Dessert also called sopapilla cheesecake recipe is so good! Excellent with coffee for dessert.

Ingredients needed:

  • 2 cans of Pillsbury crescent rolls or Pillsbury Recipe Creations (better)
  • 2 cups of sugar, divided
  • 1 package of cream cheese 8 oz
  • 1 stick of butter
  • sprinkle cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 and bring an 8 oz package of cream cheese and a stick of butter to room temperature (or heat in microwave for 1 minute at 50% power)
  2. Meanwhile...

  3. Spray a 9X13 pan with nonstick cooking sprayPress a roll of crescent dough into the bottom of the pan, pinching the seams together. (The Recipe Creations is solid - so no need to pinch together.)
  4. With a hand mixer, combine cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar until soft. Spread this cream cheese mixture over crescent dough.
  5. Take the second can of crescents and lay on top. Pinch seams together. Don't worry if everything is not fully covered. The dough may not fully come to the edge.

  6. Now mix with a fork a stick of butter with 1 cup of sugar. It will be crumbly. Add this crumbly mixture on top of crescent dough (be sure to get the edges) Sprinkle cinnamon over top.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes then enjoy your Sopapilla Cheesecake
