Salmon Patties Recipe

This simple salmon patties recipe is the way my mom made them when I was a child. They're delicious and easy to make.

Serves 3.
Prep Time is about 6-8 minutes.
Cook Time 5-6 minutes total. (Love that!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 14 3/4 oz. can salmon, drained
  • 15 saltine crackers, crushed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup oil to fry in

Directions:

In a medium bowl, mix together the salmon, cracker crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper, breaking up the salmon well. Just use your hands already!

Shape the salmon mixture into patties. Make sure they are firm.

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Place patties in the skillet, making sure they don't touch. Cook until browned on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Serve with ketchup or cocktail sauce.
