Mom's Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving go hand in hand. This recipe you'll use year after year. Make it yours!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

**Hint** You can substitute 1 3/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon, ginger, and cloves

  1. Mix sugar, salt, and spices in a small bowlBeat eggs in a large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and spice/sugar mixture. Gradually add evaporated milk.
  2. Pour into unbaked pie shell
  3. Bake in a preheated 425 oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temp to 350, bake 40-50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours
  4. Enjoy!
