Pigs in a Blanket

Appetizer Weiners

Pigs in a blanket! The perfect little appetizer weiners! There are lots of ways to make these. You can use hot dog weiners and biscuits or any combination of little smokies and crescent rolls.

Ingredients

  • little smokies (found in a package near the sausage, refrigerator section)
  • can(s) of crescent rolls
  • Any kind of cheese, be creative, use whatever you have...cheddar, pepper jack, swiss, cream cheese, ANY

Instructions:

Make tiny slit in each of your little smokies weiners. Insert sliver of cheese. Roll it from wide side of crescent roll dough towards pointy end.

*Variation-cut slivers of jalepeno peppers and insert with cheese inside.

*Variation-sprinkle crescent dough with a little garlic powder for a garlic cheese version.

*Variation-wrap a 1/2 slice of bacon around the crescent roll for triple layered taste.

Cook in oven according to directions on crescent roll package.

Be creative. Open your pantry. Open your refrigerator. What can you put inside these tasty treats?
