Monster Cookie Recipe

You'll love this monster cookie recipe! Make it for every holiday or for no reason at all; they're delicious!

You'll need:

  • ½ cup Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1-¼ cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 3 whole Large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1-¼ cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 4-½ cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • ½ cup Sweetened, Flaked Coconut
  • ½ cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup M&Ms, divided

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.

This makes a big batch (I think mine turned out to be 52 cookies (not including the dough I ate along the way!)

I used my Kitchen Aid mixer and it worked great.

Cream together the butter and sugars. Then add the eggs, vanilla, and baking soda.

Add the remaining ingredients, saving at least half the m&m's.

Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Flatten slightly with a fork dipped in cold water.

Add a few m&ms to the top, pressing in slightly *

Bake for 12 minutes. They will seem like they're not done, but they are. They'll be puffy and soft (don't remove from baking sheet yet.) Have another baking sheet ready to go in the oven, and let these cool for 6 - 8 minutes (when the cookie de-puffs a little, it's ready) then remove with spatula to cool on counter top.

*Some of my m&ms cracked in the heat (see pictures) tastes great, but if you want them perfect, wait until you pull cookies from oven, then put press the m&ms into the soft cookie and let it cool. It works just as well, and your candy shouldn't have those fine cracks that way.

You'll love this monster cookie recipe! Make them for Easter with pastel M&Ms, pink or blue for baby showers, orange/black for Halloween, red/green for Christmas, and pink/red for Valentines day. They're so good, you'll probably find yourself making them at EVERY holiday!
