Monkey Bread Recipe

This monkey bread recipe is a delicious pull apart bread made with canned biscuits, sugar, and cinnamon.

The big question: is it a bread or a dessert? I say it's a sweet bread that makes a delicious dessert, so it's both! Can I recommend serving it with a cup of coffee to a bunch of girlfriends?

You Need:

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 cans refrigerated canned biscuits
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine

Directions:

  1. Sprinkle pecans (optional) in bundt pan that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  3. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and coat each piece with sugar cinnamon mixture
  4. Layer biscuit pieces in bundt pan
  5. Combine light brown sugar and margarine in a saucepanover medium heat. Simmer one minute.
  6. Slowly pour over biscuit pieces.
  7. Bake 45 minutes in a preheated 350 oven. Cool slightly and invert onto serving platter.
