Hobo Dinners!

by Leeann
(USA)

Hi Tiffany,

We had your Hobo dinners for dinner tonight. I made them a little bit differently. I did use the ground beef but mixed it with an egg, a packet of dry Lipton onion soup and a bit of oats before I made the patties. Then, I added red potatoes and green beans. I topped it with some garlic powder and pepper.

Long story short, everyone loved them! I definitely needed to add more salt, which surprised me because usually the dry onion soup is pretty salty stuff. Guess not! But you are right, it was an easy dinner and a very YUMMY dinner with numerous ways to fix it, including chicken!

Thank you for your site!

YEA! I'm so glad you came back to tell me how you liked the hobo dinners. Love your take on it, and I'll have to try it! I know onion soup mix is generally really salty, but it always seems to me that you have to OVER SEASON these hobo dinners to get the BEST flavor.

I enjoy your blog! Thanks for visiting!
Tiffany
