My favorite green beans

These are the best green beans ever! You can use canned or frozen...whatever you have handy.

Ingredients needed:

  • can of green beans, drained
  • butter...real salted sweet cream is best, but margarine will work
  • garlic powder or minced garlic
  • Lawry's seasoning salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Real bacon pieces

Directions:

Put 1/3 stick of butter in the bottom of your saucepan, turn burner on med/high heat, add your can of drained green beans (it's very important that the juice is drained off to get the unique flavor!) Add a spoon of minced garlic or a nice sprinkle of garlic powder. Add a sprinkle of seasoning salt, and stir green beans to coat them in the butter and garlic/salt mix. Put in the real bacon pieces and leave them in there to brown a little. They're almost "fried" in the butter as they brown and get coated with the seasoning.

These are truly one of my favorite side dish recipes, and everyone asks how I make them! Easy! Thanks Roxanne for giving me your secret!
