Grand Marnier Liqueur Recipe

Make your own orange liqueur with this Grand Marnier Liqueur recipe. This liqueur is a common ingredient in margaritas, and is not inexpensive to buy. You can make your own and save a little money.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cognac
  • 2 medium oranges
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar

Instructions:

  1. Pour the cognac into a quart jar with a lid.
  2. Peel and section the orange, then slice each of the orange sections in half lengthwise, and add them to the jar along with the sugar.
  3. Cover the jar and shake until the sugar is dissolved. Store the jar at room temperature for at least 2 weeks, then strain the orange slices and pulp from the liquid.
