Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe

This easy peach cobbler recipe was generously shared with us by Marilynn from the The Hotel Matador in Matador, TX. I've cut down the portion for a family size.
It tastes wonderful and couldn't be easier.

Serves 6
Prep time: 5-10 minutes
Cook time: 30-35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 29 oz (large) can of sliced peaches, most of the juice drained off (I may use more peaches next time)

  • cinnamon

  • 5 slices of white bread, crusts removed

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 stick of butter, melted

  • 1.5 Tablespoons flour

Directions:
Put peaches in a 7 X 11 inch pan.

Sprinkle with desired amount of cinnamon.

Top with bread, cut to fit.

Combine all other ingredients well, and pour mixture over top of bread slices.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes until lightly browned and bubbly.

very good indeed
by: Unkle Mikey

I made two batches of this today, the first one I followed the recipe exactly and the second one I changed up and added some crushed pineapple and a few maraschino cherries to the mix. Both were deliciously wonderful especially with bryers lactose free vanilla ice cream... Yummy yum yum . I think I like the multi flavors best. These are so good I don't think my wife and I will have to stash it from the kids... Kudos to original poster. This is a fast and easy dessert even an old duff like me can make.

Wonderful!

This recipe is fantastic and so so easy! The owner from the Hotel Matador said other types of fruit are great in this cobbler too. She said her favorite is pineapple. I can't wait to try it with pineapple and blueberry!
