Crock Pot Chicken and Rice

Throw this crock pot chicken and rice together then stand back and watch your family beg for more.

This recipe came courtesy of my sister, Tara.  We all love it when she shares with us.  Here's what she said, "This was delicious!!!!  Everyone loved it and it was super easy!"

Ingredients:

  • 6 frozen chicken breasts
  • 3 Tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 can of corn, drained
  • 1 large box Zatarain's Yellow Rice (Family Size) or two small boxes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions:

Put frozen chicken breasts into the crock pot. 

Sprinkle with onion powder

Spoon cream of chicken soup evenly over the top of chicken and onion and cook for 4-5 hours on high or 8 hours on low.

When chicken is done shred into larger chunks with a fork.  Return to crock pot.

Add a can of drained corn to chicken mixture.  Let it cook while you prepare the rice.

Prepare 1 large box (family size) of Zatarans yellow rice.

When the rice is done (30 min) dump into crock pot and mix it all up.

Add 2 cups of cheddar cheese to the mix stir and serve.
