Crispy Ranch Fried Chicken

The crispy ranch fried chicken was a tasty treat for my family. They enjoyed it.

You Need:

  • 7 smaller boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 1/2 cups of Bisquick

  • 1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch mix

  • 1-2 eggs

  • splash of milk

  • Oil

Mix eggs and milk in a bowl.

Pour Bisquick and ranch in a gallon size freezer bag, close and shake to mix well. Dip Chicken in egg and milk mixture, drop in bag and shake until coated well and evenly.

Heat oil in pan, and place chicken in pan, and cook thoroughly. Use left over grease to make gravy, Tiffany has really good directions for making gravy!!

This is my husbands favorite way to eat chicken. This is also very good on pork chops!

Note by Tiffany: This was very tasty! I fried some as instructed, and I also oven baked some to compare. I cut my chicken into small strips. To oven bake, dip and coat the chicken and place on a foil lined baking sheet. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and pour over chicken pieces. Preheat oven to 425. Cook for 7-10 minutes, flip over and cook for 7-10 minutes more. Depending on the size of your chicken strips, you should adjust the cook time from the lower to the higher end of the cooking times listed. My husband definitely preferred the fried version over the baked, but the kids ate the baked without balking. They're both good; fried tastes better, but baking is easier. Your choice! Thanks Lynette for the recipe!

Dry mix
by: Tiffany

In case Lynnette didn't catch your comment, I thought I'd answer. You'd just use the dry ranch mix in with the bisquick for the breading of the chicken. Hope that helps!

Do you actually make the ranch recipe and put it in the bag or just put in the powdered mix?

Lynette,

Can't wait to try this one! I make homemade chicken strips for the boys about once per month, and I know they'll love this. Thanks for sharing!!
