Chicken Pie

Try this Chicken Pie for an easy dinner tonight.

Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken or 4 breasts
  • 1 Pillsbury (boxed, prepared) pie crust
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can peas and carrots, drained (optional)

Directions:

Boil and then de-bone 1 chicken or breasts. Season water with garlic powder, salt and pepper, etc. Roll one Pillsbury pie crust very thin. Line (9X13) Pyrex pan with crust. Top with chopped chicken. Make a sauce of 1 chopped onion, 1 cup sour cream, 1 stick margarine, and 1 can mushroom soup. Pour over chicken.

Note: Can add 1 can of mixed peas and carrots (drained) on top ofchicken, before adding sauce.

Top with second Pillsbury crust. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
