Big Red Cake Recipe

Big Red Cake

Love love this big red cake recipe, and it's so easy! It's moist, and pretty thanks to vibrant pink and yellow hues.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (and ingredients needed to prepare the cake as directed)
  • 1 can Big Red (or other red soda)
  • 1 large box of Cook and Serve Vanilla pudding, and the ingredients needed to prepare the pudding as directed (don't buy the instant!)

Simple Directions:
Prepare yellow cake as per directions on the box. Let cool completely.

When cool, take a straw (or even a fork will do) and poke holes all over the cake. Be generous with your hole poking!!

Dump a full can of Big Red soda all over the top of the cake and down the sides, and more on top. Just keep dumping slowly letting it seep down into those holes you've made.

Prepare cook and serve vanilla pudding as per directions on the box, but instead of chilling to set, you want to pour the warm pudding mixture all over the top of the big red cake. Let cool. This will be your yummy "icing."

Once cool, cut and serve! I'm not a big cake eater, but this one is absolutely one of my favorites.
